From Overwhelm to Ease: How to Use The Power of Intuition to Find Purpose

Our world is a constant bombardment of noise and expectations that are always drowning out our intuition. These high demands and the stretching of our attention come to us first from external sources but then become an internalized part of our subconscious programming. This internalization keeps us moving within the confines of that which is already a familiar pattern of “safety”. Our intuition guides us to escape these limiting and often times unhelpful routines and habits but our brains sabotage us, screaming fear all the way.

To dig our intuition’s true power out from the dirt that is the clutter of modern day society, takes some practice. At first, the dirt wants to cave back in, but eventually, through consistency and perseverance, you do find the treasure beneath. Though it might still be quite dirty for a bit, the continued practice will restore the shine and gleam it once had when you were a child, before it got all murky from having to exist in this world with others.

Whereas we feel that in order to accomplish or gain something, more than what we’re already doing must be done, learning to trust our intuition requires doing less. In order for it to guide us back towards our own unique purpose, we have to give it the space to speak and be listened to. We have to allow ourselves the down…
